Hmmmm some pple r so irritating...burn, rot, suffer, cry in despair in hell but dun u dare die ...i wan to see u suffer from eternal pain....
haha came online to do settle some matters in sv... better get it done or else matter will get out of hand soon.
here's wat happen zhuo min send email to teacher complain... jeff reply liao... i olso cannot take it so reply olso... seems like sv gonna be a war... a war between 2 grps pro zhuo min and anti zhuo min(consist of all other member other den zhuo min lol evn pres olso cannot stand)..talk less here's the mail read urseld :D :
Hey, I agree with Jeffrey. Oh btw I’m junhong, if u dun know who I am. Yup, I’m also another guy who's not in the exco or in the prom night team. What I’m going to say is just my opinion, no offence taken if the truth hurts.
"UTTERLY DISGUSTED"? That is such a strong statement. Why are you DISGUSTED? Is it because the rest of your team members chose to attend MAF and enjoy themselves, even though they agreed to be locked up in the Sv room initially? Dun you find that you are unreasonable? Do you treat them as human? SV is not everything do you know that? From what I read, I think you treat everyone as machine don’t you. Work. Work. Work. Work. There is no point in forcing people to do what they don’t. Reluctance and unhappiness will result in extreme low efficiency.
As every hwa chong student will know, MAF is one of those important festival which cannot be missed. It is as important as Chinese New Year celebration. Do you know that when we are in school the sc beg us to attend maf because they are afraid that their effort will be wasted? What u did is utterly selfish. By trying to stop people from attending MAF, you are causing the hard work of many people to go down the drain, especially the sc. Since sv did not contribute much to the MAF celebration,( definitely not as much as the sc who spent days and even weeks to prepare all this and not forgetting the other performers who rehearse very hard), the least we could do is to be present and show them that their efforts are appreciated.
Mass dance and mass singing sessions is the climax of the whole celebration. It mustn’t be missed, even grand seniors return just for this. Jeffrey is wrong in asking people to go down in the 1st place, but if the others don’t want to go down, even if he begs them, they would probably stay in the room. Bonding session is extremely important to us especially when we only got less then 6 months left before we step down. This is one of the rare occasions when the sv members chose not to be with their class but be together with each other. How often can this happen?
You mention about attitude. You think that all of us should change our attitude right? Do you know that everyone is worried about you when you left? The president even call to check whether you are fine, but you chose to reject her call. Other members try to apologize. You chose to ignore them. Wee kiat said sorry to you and you told him you are not angry with anyone but with the attitude. What is this? You chose to leave without telling us and yet your team members try so hard to appease you. Moreover, their efforts are definitely not appreciated as can be inferred from your reply. Do you know that we stayed back in the sv room trying to make sure that you are not angry any more. How often do you see a grown up guy acting in such an irresponsible behaviour? This is appalling, I must say.

Let me tell you being in a team is not about only about you, it is about every single one of us. This is what we (mainly Jeffrey, wee kiat and me) believe in as we were in uniform groups before. From our 4 years of experience, we know how important it is for a group to be united and how sometimes a person’s willfulness can cause a downfall of the group. Being a good team member is not easy, we should follow the majority and stop kicking up a fuss over some small issues. Another thing to keep in mind, the Earth revolves round the sun and not around anyone.
Furthermore schools across Singapore are having 5 day work week, by spending time in sv on a Saturday already show us how dedicated our members are.
Lastly, sense of urgency is not measured by how much time we spend on doing something, it’s definitely not about how we rush things through when no one feels like doing it; it’s more about whether we can work towards a common goal with minimal interference and whether we can give a high quality product. If everyone is to rush through the project, it can be done but can you guarantee the quality of the final product? If it’s not up to the expectation, we probably will need to redo everything, isn’t this nong qiao cheng zuo. When everyone is in tip top condition and your entire team is willing to do this project, it can be done in the least time and have the highest quality.
Hope that the few of us that need to change will change, but I wouldn’t and I will strongly stand by my belief.
As I always say friendship is forever, since we are all destined to be in the same cca why should we fight over such trivial matter? What I believe the teachers want isn’t a wonderful and splendid video, but wants us to gain more skill, to enjoy the process, to be able to make more friends, and most importantly, to know how to work as a team.
NO regrets in what I wrote and did.

Jeffrey here. Maybe i should not interfere in this matter since I am not in the Exco or in the prom team. However, I still feel like expressing my opinions. Pardon me if I say anything seriously wrong. :P
Zhuo Min, please relax. There is really no need for you to get overly stressed up over this matter and flared up during such a wonderful occasion. Yesterday was MAF, a day when the school celebrated this traditional festival. Even Sensorium Vale participated in this event (take a look at the video which we have come up with). It is a day when all of us, the proud Hwachongians should be enjoying ourselves. Why should we be quarrelling with each other on this special occasion?
I guess you are specifically refering to the incident whereby most of us went down to the central plaza for the community singing and mass dancing, instead of doing work. Well, I am the one asking SV people to go down and join the school in this bonding session. I am sorry if I have offended anyone by doing that. However, from the bottom of my heart, I have no regrets for my actions. I still feel that there is nothing wrong in promoting Hwa Chong spirit. Even if I were to go back to the past to that moment now, I would still choose to go down and ask along the SV members to go down and enjoy ourselves.
It is not only about enjoyment that I am talking about. You should have gone down to take a look at the people hugging each other as they proudly sing the Hwa Chong songs, feel for yourself the emotional atmosphere there and witness the close bonds which we all share. It is a perfect moment for SV to boost team spirit! Come on, yesterday might just be the last day for the SV members to come together and relax ourselves before the stressful promotional examinations start.
You mentioned about efficiency. So, I assume that you understand that all of us are working as a team. What is a team? Interested to know my opinions for this question? To say the least, a team is not a group of people feeling UTTERLY DISGUSTED with each other's method of working. It should be about accomodation (refer to the social studies textbook for the subject on Switzerland). A team is not a group of people accusing each other of not keeping to their words. It should be about taking a little and giving a little. A team is not a group of people calling each other COUCH POTATOES. It should be about respect for each other.
A good team is not all just about efficiency. Ever heard of the term team spirit? A team is a group of closely bonded people (not highly disciplined robots) who love each other and can work with each other in harmony. To achieve that, we need to understand each other very well. I just said that I had no regrets for my action. That is because I had witnessed for myself how SV members bonded so well during the sing and dance session. Only after team spirit has been fully achieved, then can we work hand in hand happily to reach the greatest efficiency! It should not be the case whereby there is only all work and no play. If that is the case, no one will like to join SV. People will just start to complain that SV is a really boring CCA. Is that what we want?
So you feel that urgent remedy is needed or else we will all turn into couch potatoes? Well, we can always elect a disciplinary IC. He or she will punish members who are late or do not do work. Of course we can do that. Why not? However, let me warn that this will only churn out man slaves working under a master call SV. It is true that all the members will work hard but very unwillingly. Do you think that we can be much more efficient that way? I do not feel so. What we can do at most is to have a welfare IC to bond the club together better to make everyone love coming for SV activities. I say this once again, only when team spirit has been fully achieved, then can we work hand in hand happily to reach the greatest efficiency!
I am not suggesting that we only play and not work. I jus feel that we should not work all day and not play. True that we should work hard, but we should include elements of fun at times. There is really no need for us to get so stressed up and start to fight with each other over such a trivial matter.
Erm.. my friends used to say that I am overly agressively at times. This time round, I hope I am not. No offence meant. I want peace :D Only with that, then we can do the job well. If I have accidentally hurt anyone, I am really sorry.
Of course, I welcome any objections to my views. But it will not bother or affect me much cuz I am not going to change my stand. Sorry about that.

Dear all, To say the least, I was UTTERLY DISGUSTED at the high level of inefficiency during the video-editing session held during MAF night, i.e. on the night of 10 September 2005.
Here's a recount of what happened on 10 September 2005. In the morning, Shen Lin and Zhou Zhong came to school at 8:30am to import the footages and start work on the Senior Promenade video. Wee Kiat and I were also involved, but because both Wee Kiat and I had to attend the CenTaD symposium, we came only at 5:30pm.
So when I came at 5:30pm to check on the efficiency of the whole process, I asked a simple question. Are we going to skip MAF and work on the video, or are we going to attend MAF. The project was in a very urgent state, as we had to finish it within a week and we have barely started. So I asked depending on the urgency of the video, whether skipping MAF was a necessity.
So Zhou Zhong informed me that skipping MAF was necessary as the video was only 5% done as of 5:30pm. Okay, I thought. That would be reasonable.
What I found unreasonable was why throughout the MAF celebration, everyone had to go out and watch the celebrations. I am not talking about taking breaks. We were DOING ALMOST NOTHING throughout the evening and the night. More specifically, in 3 hours of time (from 5:30pm to 8:30pm), we only used 10 minutes of time to discuss the guideline of the video. And guess what happened to the other 2 hours 50 minutes? EVERYONE WAS WATCHING THE MAF CELEBRATION. Especially when we have an extremely urgent task at hand, and also when we have agreed that skipping MAF was necessary (well, watching the MAF celebrations is about as good as attending MAF).
Okay, I understand that both Shen Lin and Zhou Zhong had been working on the videos for the past 9 hours. They are tired. That I can understand. But still, they have said that they would be working. Instead they did not keep their word and went off instead.
And those who did not come to work in the morning were even more infuriating. Many of them came in the evening just to go off and slack as well.

So in short, I am very angry with two things. Firstly, when everything is so urgent, how we can afford to have, or even accept in the first place, such low efficiency. Secondly, why is it that our club members can only talk about working and does not work (I'm not talking about the morning; I'm talking about since we've agreed to work in the night, why we did not).
If we want to improve the club, I'd tell everyone EXPLICITLY that the attitude needs urgent remedy.
